Registration appointments for new Adult Education students will begin January 13, 2026. Any new or interested students should fill out the online registration form using our Lexington Two Adult Ed Application, and we will reach out to schedule an appointment. Students can also call (803) 739-4048. Returning students should identify themselves as returning when they call for an appointment, so that their information can be linked.
The fee to register is $30, and registration is ongoing throughout the semester.
Counselors will be on hand during registration to work with students on offerings that will best suit their schedules and career goals.
Class times are:
Morning Classes: Monday–Thursday, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Classes: Tuesday–Thursday, 12:30–3:00 p.m.
Evening Classes: Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30–8:00 p.m.
Students must be 21 years old or older to attend evening sessions. A work waiver for anyone under the age of 21 may be granted. It must be applied for and approved by the program director.
Lexington Two’s adult education program, which operates in conjunction with Lexington Four, includes a number of classes -- all free or with a nominal registration fee -- for students who left school without a diploma. In addition to GED preparation and high school diploma completion, the adult education program offers Career Readiness Certificate preparation, academic refresher and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Services also are available to help with employment, training and college admission.
The registration process:
Call and schedule an appointment to come in and register. Registration will take approximately 2 hours.
Come in during your scheduled time to fill out paperwork, pay the $30 registration fee and take a Basic Reading and Math Test. This test is not a pass/fail. This just lets you and your teacher know what you need to work on. It will also give us an idea of approximately how long it will take you to earn your GED if you attend class as scheduled.
.
After the assessment, you will meet with an intake counselor. The intake counselor will go over your test scores with you, answer any questions, help you decide upon which class time meets your needs and schedule a time to attend a required orientation.
Attend orientation on your scheduled day.
Start class.
